The branding & graphic design process
The whole process starts with an email consultation to make sure we are a good fit for working together. I’ll send you a questionnaire that will allow me to learn more about your business and have a good idea of what you require. I’ll also ask you to create a Pinterest board with visual elements that you like. Even if we don’t end up working together, this exploratory phase will help you define a direction for your brand.
Once you return the completed questionnaire and gather some visuals that reflect your vision, if we seem to be a good fit, I’ll send you a proposal and contract. The agreement will be digitally signed, so don’t worry about printing or scanning anything. Than, the first invoice is generated.
I dive deep into your questionnaire answers, gather visual inspiration, do some research about your niche, competitors and targeted audience. I’ll ask you some more questions as well if needed for clarity.
Moodboard – defining the direction
Based on your Pinterest board and answers, I’ll make one or more moodboards and ask for your feedback. The approved moodboard will basically give me more direction and ensures the fact that we’re on the same page as well.
This is when I begin sketching, come up with some concepts and search for fonts that might work well within the design.
My favorite ideas turn into more defined concepts in specialized software (Adobe Illustrator). The best ones make it into the next phase.
Presentation + Feedback
This is the phase when you get to choose your favorite concept and ask for changes to it if needed. The amount of concepts and revision rounds are stated in the initial proposal.
During this phase, I implement your suggestions and add the finishing touches. Honest, concise and timely feedback is essential throughout the time so we can nail down the design.
After everything’s done, all of your assets are approved and you’re happy with the design, I’ll send over all the files.
Launch and celebrate
Your new visuals are now ready for launching. Time to celebrate, yay!
